ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - The owner of a company that maps cell phone data testified Wednesday morning in the Kimani Meadows murder trial.
Sy Ray is the owner of ZetX, a company that maps cell phone data like calls, texts, GPS, and Google Map locations.
Monday he showed the jury his software's analysis of activity on Kimani Meadow's phone from December 3rd to December 14th, the day authorities say Meadows killed Robyn Roper of the Bronx before dumping her body on Draht Hill Road. Sy Ray's data puts Meadow's phone in that area at about 6:45pm. The records then suggest Meadows left the area and spent the night in Canisteo and returning to Elmira the next day.
The defense's cross examination of Sy Ray's testimony began just before noon. We will continue to bring you the latest from inside the courtroom both on air and online.
