PAINTED POST, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - First Heritage Federal Credit Union has announced its planned merger with Hornell Erie Federal Credit Union. Nearly 1,000 members of Hornell Erie FCU will become a part of the First Heritage family.
Hornell Erie FCU currently serves those who live, work, attend school, or worship in Steuben, Livingston, or Allegany Counties. The merger with First Heritage is expected to expand the banking services available to Hornell Erie FCU members.
Currently limited to savings accounts, personal loans and vehicle loans, Hornell Erie FCU members will now have access to First Heritage’s full array of services, including high-yield checking accounts, online banking services, and loans, to meet all of their home buying needs. Hornell Erie FCU members will also be able to take advantage of the newly opened First Heritage Hornell branch located at 167 Seneca Street.

The merger has been approved by the regulatory agencies as well as the Hornell Erie Federal Credit Union members. Members voted to approve this merger during a special member meeting on August 1, 2018. The two credit unions will officially come together on August 18, 2018.
