Wake up temperatures start in the 30s for most areas with rain transitioning over to snow showers. The low pressure system is stalled out over the Twin Tiers, allowing moisture to pump in from the Great Lakes. Snow showers will be scattered in nature through the afternoon, moving in from Lake Ontario with gusty westerly winds, anywhere from 10-20 mph. Gusts will be upwards of 25-30 mph at times. This will keep wind chill values in the 20s. Most of the day looking at snowfall, but lower elevations may see some rain mix in with showers. On average, snowfall amounts will range between 2-4 inches for the Twin Tiers with locally higher amounts possible. Lighter amounts will be for areas in Northeast PA. Daytime temperatures will reach the upper-30s for highs.

Lake effect snow showers will persist through the evening and overnight as temperatures drop to the low-30s under mostly cloudy skies.

Low pressure continues to make an impact Wednesday. Chance for snow showers continues throughout the day. Higher amounts of snow staying to the north and west. Most of the Twin Tiers looking at snowfall totals from Tuesday through Wednesday of a trace to near 4". Highs Wednesday into the mid to upper 30s. Continuing with unsettled weather through the work week, and into the weekend. Highs reaching to near 40 degrees through Friday, then into the 40's for highs this weekend.
