Greek Peak Offers Terrain-Based Learning to New Skiers, Riders

CORTLAND, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - Officials at Greek Peak Mountain Resort want to help everyone who has ever wanted to try skiing or snowboarding get on the slopes this season.

They say they understand why the sport can be a little intimidating for first timers. That's why this year they've partnered with Snow Operating to open Train Based Learning.

From parking lot, to the ticket booth and all the way through the rental shop; Greek Peak employees will be with you every step of the way to make sure you feel comfortable. In fact, they even have a special run designed to help new skiers and riders find their groove.

"What we do is we give them, just kind of a feel for it," Director of Sales & Marketing at Greek Peak Kaitlyn Head said. "We let them get their own momentum. So there's bank turns and rollers that they can actually use their own momentum and kind of control themselves by the way that we have shaped the slope."
