Man Charged with Threatening People at Local Business with Knife

CORNING, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - An 18 year-old was arrested Tuesday in Corning after police said he tried to break into a business all while threatening employees with a weapon.

Corning Police said around 6 p.m., Kyle Horton was trying to break into a West Market Street business. Police said Horton, was told the day before to stay away. However, he returned the following day - armed with a knife, and the intent to allegedly attack the employees.

Horton's been charged with attempted burglary, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing. He was arraigned in Corning City Court and sent to the Steuben County Jail.
