UPDATE: Missing Tompkins County woman found

LANSING, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - (UPDATE) A woman who had been reported missing in Tompkins County has been located and is safe, according to the Tompkins County Sheriff’s Office.

Tompkins County dispatchers confirmed that Sophy Sok has been found, and that she is in good condition.

The Sheriff’s Office has not indicated what led to the 21-year-old’s disappearance or how she was found.


A Missing Vulnerable Adult Alert has been issued for a Lansing woman with developmental disabilities, after deputies say she hasn't been seen since Sunday morning.

The Tompkins County Sheriff's Office says Sophy Sok was last seen at her home on North Triphammer Road in Lansing at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 17.   Deputies say she's likely traveling by foot.

Sok is 21 years old and does not speak English.  She's 5' tall and has black hair and brown eyes.
