NY partnership with Regeneron to find diagnosis, treatment for tick-borne diseases

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -  The New York Governor's Office announced a new public-private research collaboration to advance the diagnosis and treatment of tick-borne diseases.

The New York State Department of Health Wadsworth Center laboratory and Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a leading biotechnology company that invents life-transforming medicines for people with serious diseases, will collaborate to find treatments and diagnosis.

Officials say tick-borne illnesses, particularly Lyme disease, are among the fastest growing infectious diseases in the United States.
