SOUTHPORT, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - Elmira police are searching for the driver who they said fled the scene on a rollover crash overnight Wednesday.
It happened just before 11 p.m. on Pennsylvania Avenue and Yale Street in the Town of Southport. When police arrived on scene they found the car - but no driver.
Our photojournalist on location said the car took out a street sign, rolled over onto its roof, landing by a utility pole. NYSEG was called to assess the potential electrical issues with the utility pole.
