OLEAN, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - An Olean newspaper reports Representative Tom Reed apparently made someone's naughty list this year; that's after a stocking of coal was left outside the congressman's office in the city on Thursday.
Attached to the stocking was a note that criticized the Republican tax plan.
According to the Olean Times Harold, a note attached to the stocking read, "To the Grinch who voted 13 million to lose their health care, including kids. Bankruptcy and death to constituents."
A spokesperson for Reed, said "We have no concerns regarding the package..Our office welcomes any and all communications from constituents."
She also said that neither Reed nor any of his staff were at the office at the time of the delivery. Police said whoever left the stocking has not committed any crime, as the material was not hazardous.
