Search crews return to Wayne Co. farm in search for missing baby

SODUS, N.Y. (WROC-TV) - - Crews in Wayne County will continue the search Thursday for a missing baby at a farm off Joy Road in Sodus.

As of Wednesday night, no new developments have been made in the search for Owen Hidalgo-Calderon.

We're told 46 people from the sheriff's office, Missing and Exploited Children, state Forest Rangers, and Wayne County ALS among other agencies took part part in search efforts on Wednesday.

Deputies plan to conclude Wednesday's search at 5 p.m. and resume activities Thursday morning.

Baby Owen has been missing since May 16. His mother, who was also reported missing, was found dead last week. Deputies said her body was found wrapped in a garbage bag in a wooded area off Joy Road. Deputies say they believe the baby is also dead.

An Amber Alert was later issued last week for 14-month-old Owen but was canceled on Tuesday.

Anyone with information on Owen Hidalgo-Calderon's whereabouts is asked to call 911.
