BATH, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - The 7th annual Steuben Strong Kids Safe Kids Festival is this weekend.
Children from birth to sixth grade are invited to attend this free event with their families.
They can enjoy carnival games, inflatable bouncers, and art activities while learning about health and safety issues from area agencies.
The festival will center on the 'Passport to Fitness' program where children can participate in fitness stations, earn their passport, and win a prize.
Healthy snacks, bike helmets, and other giveaways will be available until supplies last.
"It's an important event for families in our community," Bill Caudill, Coordinator for the Steuben County Youth Bureau said. "The task force wants to promote positive, healthy families and specifically healthy kids and it's a great opportunity for families to come together. Just spend the day having fun at no charge."
It takes place this Saturday, September 16th from 1:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. at the Haverling High School gym in Bath.
Volunteers from teens to adults are needed to ensure activities run smoothly. If interested in volunteering, call (607) 664-2119.
