WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (WBRE-TV) - Parts of Wilkes-Barre Township's business district looks like a war zone after powerful storms rolled through the area on Wednesday night.
A number of businesses including Panera Bread, Dicks Sporting Goods, Barnes and Noble and many other businesses in Wilkes-Barre Township and the Arena Hub were damaged by the storm.
Power lines are down, vehicles are damaged and debris is littering the area.
Emergency crews from across the region.
The American Red Cross is on the scene assisting the first responders.
The National Weather Service will be on the scene Thursday to access the damage and determine if a tornado touched down.
Bradford County also had a lot of damage from Wednesday night's storms. National Weather Investigators will be in Bradford County Thursday to access the damage there as well.
