ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - Start greasing those chains and dusting those bikes off, the Tour de Keuka is less than 3 months away.
The event is an annual charity bike ride that helps raise money to provide meals for those who may need assistance. 1 in 7 people in the Southern Tier suffer from hunger and this event offers a way to help cure that.
The funds raised from just 1 cyclist is enough to provide at least 450 meals to those in need.
This years ride will take place on July 21st. Check-in and registration will open at 6 a.m. They will begin at the Hammondsport Fire Dept. and make their way around Keuka Lake.
