ALBANY, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - New York State Police, today released autopsy results in the tragic shooting death of Trooper Nicholas Clark.
The results show that Tpr. Clark died from being struck with buckshot from a 12-gauge shotgun.
Steven Kiley, a former Bradford, NY school principal and gunman, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The results also show that Kiley was shot in the chest by law enforcement,and according to the release, would have died had he not taken his own life.
In searching Kiley's home, State Police also found 12 illegal firearms, including 8 assault rifles, 1 rifle and 3 handguns, in addition to 2 silencers and several high capacity magazines.
The investigation into Trooper Clark's death is still continuing.
