HORSEHEADS, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - One man is behind bars after he led police on a chase from Watkins Glen to Horseheads that ended in a drug bust.
New York State Police identified the suspect as Jedidiah Bradford who led authorities on a chase through Schuyler County.
Police said the suspect tossed drugs out of the window during the course of the chase along with the stolen items from Walmart.
The pursuit extended into Horseheads where the suspect lost control of his vehicle. He flew over a snow bank with the car crashing right in front of Hamlet Delights at the intersection of Sayre Street and South Ave.
The suspect tried to flee on foot, but was caught by state police. He was taken to the Horseheads barracks.
Upon a search of the vehicle, police said they found drugs and items used to manufacture meth.
Bradford did not sustain any injuries.
State Police said me the suspect could now face charges such as petite larceny, criminal possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, and refusing to stop for police.
Bradford will be charged with unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine.
