Where is he? Tracking Shawn Christy, the search continues

Christy is accused of threatening to kill President Trump

SOUTH ABINGTON, Pa. (WBRE/WYOU-TV) - High drama as the search for a Schuylkill County man indicted for allegedly threatening President Trump moved to Lackawanna County. Shawn Christy from McAdoo has been on the run since June 20th.

The search for Shawn Christy focused on a wooded area near the Scranton School for deaf and hard of hearing children in South Abington Township Tuesday. Christy was last known to be hiding near the Canadian border. This, after he stole a truck from his former employer in Hazleton.

Federal agents believe he stole another vehicle in that area and made his way to Lackawanna County. That second vehicle broke down on Interstate 81 and that's when investigators say he broke into the school. Christy stole bread and milk and vandalized a vending machine. And then headed into the woods. All of this was captured by school surveillance cameras.

"It seems to us he's becoming more desperate by the day. He allegedly now has two vehicle thefts, a burglary into this school and its imperative for the marshal’s office to find him and keep the public safe." Said Robert Clark, US Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force.

"We just want to get him home safe that's it all of us." Said Craig Christy, Shawn’s Father, He is following the search for his son from the family home in McAdoo. Christy’s father said that they are hoping he can find his way back home and peacefully turn himself in to authorities.

He father said he doesn't’ believe he would hurt anyone and that he is scared.
