WOODHULL, N.Y. (18 NEWS) - A Woodhull woman is behind bars, charged with cashing forged checks.
It's alleged that 20-year-old Haley Heigel cashed four separate forged checks between January 10 and January 31. The checks belonged to an elderly victim who Heigel knew.
In addition, it's alleged that Heigel also made unauthorized purchases using the same elderly victim's debit card between February 8 and February 13.
She is charged with four counts of forgery in the second degree, a class D felony, and one count of identity theft, a class E felony.
Heigel was remanded to the Steuben County jail on $5,000 cash bail.
