(CNN) - Starbucks fans may be in for some bad news.
The company says it is closing 150 locations in 2019.
Every year, Starbucks closes some underperforming stores – but next year, that number will go up about three times the average.
Meanwhile, sales are expected to grow just 1 percent in the next quarter.
Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson says the closures will help the coffee chain better meet the needs of customers.
