The Bills have placed wide receiver Sammy Watkins on injury reserve.
A lingering foot injury has caused Watkins some discomfort since the start of training camp and eventually lead to the star wide out missing the Bills week three win verse the Cardinals.
The former first round pick hasn’t practiced the since playing against the Jets in week two and on Friday head coach Rex Ryan said there was ‘major concern’ about his availability moving forward this year.
Hours later the team announced the move to place Watkins on IR.
Watkins will miss at least the next eight weeks of the season but is eligible to return November 27 verse Jacksonville.
