The Penn State Nittany Lions were at Naval Station Mayport on Wednesday after their second practice in Florida to see what life is for some of the men and women in the Navy.
One of the highlights of the experience was the Nittany Lions time with the HSM 40 Airwolves.
Pilots from the helicopter squadron gave the Penn State players a glimpse inside their aircraft.
“You know you just have to respect everything these guys do for our country and it’s pretty neat to see it up close and in person,” said Penn State wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton. “You know all the guys getting to come out here and see stuff like this is pretty fun. And everything really just comes together and the guys get to spend a lot of time together.”
Hamilton actually grew up on military bases around the world with his parents in the Marines.
