Corning Football Wins Third Straight Game


The Corning Hawks football team picked up their third straight win by defeating FDR Hyde Park 45-28 at Corning Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

The Presidents took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a touchdown pass by Ryan Taylor to Devante Pavelock.

The Hawks answered right back as Max Freeman returned the ensuing kickoff 80 yards for a touchdown to tie the game at 7 in the second quarter.

Freeman added a two-yard touchdown run later in the second quarter to put the Hawks up 14-7.

The Hawks led at halftime 21-7.

Corning (3-1) is on the road against Horseheads next Saturday at 1:30 pm.
