Enforcers stay alive with game three win

The Elmira Enforcers are still alive in the Commissioner’s Cup Finals.

The Enforcers defeated the Carolina Thunderbirds 7-2 in game three at First Arena on Friday.

The Enforcers scored five goals in the first period and jumped out to a 5-1 lead.

Elmira took an early lead just 58 seconds into the game on a goal by Sean Reynolds.

Beau Walker scored for the Thunderbirds to tie the game at 1 early in the first period.

Elmira would then score four straight goals to take a 5-1 lead after the first period.

Brandon Vuic scored two goals and had two assists for the Enforcers.

Nick Niedert made 42 saves in goal for Elmira.

Carolina now leads the best-of-five series 2-1.

The Enforcers will host game four of the Commissioner’s Cup Finals on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
