Enforcers take game 1 on late goal by Reynolds


The Elmira Enforcers won game 1 of their best-of-three series against the Watertown Wolves in the FHL Semifinals 5-4 on Friday in Watertown.

With the game tied at 4 in the third period, Sean Reynolds scored the game-winning goal for the Enforcers with 44 seconds left to play in regulation.

The Wolves took a 4-2 lead in the second period with two straight goals by Tyler Gjurich.

Brandon Vuic scored a goal later in the second period for Elmira to cut the lead to 4-3.

Stepan Timofeyev scored a goal for the Enforcers in the third period to tie the game at 3.

Game 2 of the series is on Saturday at First Arena at 7:00 p.m.
