A Horseheads Blue Raider standout wrestler earns a top honor.

After placing fourth at the New York State Tournament and earning the school’s all-time wins mark, Blue Raider Devin Woodworth is the Male Winter MVP. Votes were tallied on mytwintiers.com/sports and Woodworth secured nearly 50 percent of the overall number to win MVP.

Woodworth surpassed Horseheads wrestling great, Rick Webster’s mark of 170 wins, finishing with 173 for his career. Devin will now take his talents to the Coast Guard Academy and will compete at the next level. Capping off his Horseheads run, Woodworth was named the Section IV D-I Wrestler of The Year for the second consecutive year.

18 Sports congratulates Woodworth on his standout career.
