Allaah Sessions transferring to New Haven football

ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) - An Elmira football standout is moving forward in his collegiate career.

Allaah Sessions, a rising star on D-I Wagner College's football team at linebacker, will transfer to D-II New Haven for the Chargers. New Haven was (9-3) last season and made it to the second round of the NCAA playoffs. Sessions' move to New Haven comes after a shortened season for the Seahawks.

In just three games last season, Sessions started two and had a total of four tackles at linebacker. The tough year was preceded by Sessions' breakout season for the Seahawks in 2017. Two seasons ago, Allaah racked up 51 total tackles and 3.5 sacks on the year. 

Allaah was also the winner of the 2015 Ernie Davis Award, given out the area's top high school football player while playing for Elmira.
