Bennett, Willsey named Player of the Year

The All-State High School softball teams have been released in New York by the NYSSWA.

Corning senior ace pitcher Laura Bennett has been named Player of the Year in Class AA.

Bennett helped the Hawks win a Class AA state title this season.

Corning head coach Mike Johnston has been named Coach of the Year in Class AA.

Thomas A. Edison senior ace pitcher Bella Willsey has been named the Player of the Year in Class C.

Willsey helped the Spartans win a Class C state title last weekend in South Glens Falls.

Edison head coach Liz Warren was named the Coach of the Year in Class C.
