The Elmira Pioneers welcome a special guest for the 4th Annual Hot Stove Dinner.
Boston Red Sox icon, Bill Buckner, will attend the dinner at the Elmira Holiday Inn Thursday, April 26th. Buckner was an All-Star and won the 1980 National League (NL) Batting Title as a member of the Chicago Cubs. In all, Buckner had 2,715 career hits with five different teams in MLB.
The Pioneers Hot Stove Dinner will celebrate 22 seasons of professional baseball that Buckner played in the big leagues. Buckner will sign autographs, meet fans and give a speech on his career.
Tickets are $50 for the dinner and can be purchased at the Elmira Pioneers office at Dunn Field or by phone 607-734-2690. The meet-and-greet portion of the dinner begins at 5 pm while the actual dinner starts promptly at 6 pm.
