The Hawks knocked off top-seeded Horseheads on the road 3-2 in the Section IV Class AA semifinals on Friday.

With the win, the Hawks move on to face second-seeded Ithaca in a best-of-three series in the sectional finals.

Game one is set for Monday at Ithaca with game two at Corning on Wednesday.

A game three would be played if necessary on Friday at Ithaca College.

The Section IV baseball playoffs also continue on Monday for Notre Dame.

The fourth-seeded Crusaders host fifth-seeded Lansing in the Section IV Class C quarterfinals.

Notre Dame defeated Walton at home in the first round on Friday 5-1.
