Corning Box Lacrosse Continues Long Tradition

Corning Box Lacrosse has been operating for thirty four years

CORNING, N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - - Corning Box Lacrosse held their championships on Thursday night at the Nasser Civic Center Ice Rink in Corning.

Corning Box Lacrosse had been operating for thirty four years in the Corning-Painted Post area.

Players in the league include former college players and current college players from around the Southern Tier.

Mooney's Sports Bar & Grill defeated Iron Flamingo Brewery in the finals 14-8.

" A lot of talent has came thru the ice rink and a lot of people enjoy playing box lacrosse. Great opportunity to catch up with old friends and players.  We've got people age sixty two on down that are playing," said event organizer Frank Speciale.
