The Corning Hawks boys basketball team earned its first win of the season.
On a rare Monday night game, the Hawks topped visiting Bishop Kearney, 62-44. Corning dropped their first non-conference game of the year on Friday at Cicero-North Syracuse but bounced back in front of their home crowd.
Jason Rodriguez had a game-high 22 points for Corning (1-1) while Myles Bankston, Jacob Tober and Jordan Haggard had 11 points each. Next up for the Hawks is another home game on Thursday when Maine-Endwell pays Corning a visit. Check out the highlights from Monday night on 18 Sports.
