The Elmira Pioneers powered their way to victory on a cooler summer night at Dunn Field.
Elmira (8-13) scored two runs in the first inning, then utilized a four-run fourth to secure a big 12-3 win over Oneonta (6-15). Brett Rodriguez had three hits with three RBI to lead Elmira, while Andrew Orzel and Devon Adams drove in two runs each on the night.
The Pioneers added three runs in the seventh inning and another two in the eighth inning. Elmira has now won just two of its last eight games as they head to Utica on Wednesday night.
In other action, the Hornell Dodgers fell at Wellsville 9-8 in walk-off to the Nitros. Hornell hosts Olean in a doubleheader on Wednesday night.
