Enforcers advance to Commissioner’s Cup Finals

In their inaugural season the Elmira Enforcers will play for the Commissioner’s Cup.

The Enforcers defeated the Watertown Wolves 7-4 on Saturday at First Arena to win their best-of-three FHL Semifinal series 2-0.

Elmira took a 5-1 lead in the third period on a goal scored by Sean Reynolds.

The Wolves would rally and cut the lead to 5-4 on a goal scored by Tyler Gjurich.

Stepan Timofeyev would score two empty-net goals late in the third to put the Enforcers up 7-4.

Timofeyev finished the game with 2 goals and 2 assists.

The Elmira Enforcers will play the Carolina Thunderbirds in the Commissioner’s Cup Finals.
