Enforcers bring back head coach and key players

The Elmira Enforcers announced at a press conference at First Arena on Monday that head coach Brent Clarke, forwards Ahmed Mahfouz and Stepan Timofeyev, and defenseman Glen Patterson will return for the upcoming season.

Clarke guided the Enforcers to the Commissioner’s Cup Finals in his first season as head coach.

Mahfouz led the team in scoring last season with 29 goals, 53 assists, and 82 points.

Timofeyev was named the FHL Rookie of the Year last season and had 14 goals and 47 assists.

Patterson had career highs last season in points with 56, goals with 13, and assists with 43.

It was announced that the league will be expanding to ten teams with two divisions and an eight team playoff format.

The Enforcers begin their regular season at home against the defending champion Carolina Thunderbirds on Friday, October 25th and Saturday, October 26th.
