Fast Start Leads Pilots Past Pioneers

The Pilots defeat the Pioneers 10-1 at Dunn Field

ELMIRA,N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - The Newark Pilots scored four runs in the first inning on their way to a 10-1 win against the Elmira Pioneers on Sunday at Dunn Field.

Ty Babin hit a two-run double in the first inning to put Newark in front 3-0.

Zavier Warren went 4-for-6 with two runs scored and an RBI for the Pilots.

Corning Hawks standout Trevor Henneman hit an RBI double in the fourth inning for the Pioneers to drive in Brooks Carlson.

The Elmira Pioneers are now 4-10 this season and conclude their four-game homestand on Tuesday as they host the Oneonta Outlaws at 7:05 pm.
