The Corning softball team defeated Horseheads for the second time in as many days with a 5-2 win at home on Saturday in a STAC West tiebreaker.
The Hawks won a STAC West title with the win.
Kalea Faulk, Erin Austin, and Emily VanDelinder each hit RBI base hits for the Hawks in the third inning to give Corning a 4-0 lead.
Laura Bennett went the distance for the Hawks allowing two runs while striking out 11 to earn the win.
Emma Loomis went 2-for-4 at the plate for Horseheads (14-4) and scored a run and had an RBI.
Bennett tossed a one-hitter and struck out 15 on Friday as the Hawks defeated the Blue Raiders at home 1-0 in eight innings to force the tiebreaker.
Corning (14-3) will host Susquehanna Valley in a STAC semifinal on Monday at 4:00 p.m.
