Hornell Native Bill Pullman Talks Sports and "Spaceballs"

Classic film still resonates 30 years later

HORNELL, N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - Hornell native and longtime Hollywood actor, Bill Pullman, returned for one special night.

Pullman, who's starred in several major blockbuster films, came back to Hornell for a fundraiser scholarship night honoring longtime city mayor, Shawn Hogan. All proceeds went to the scholarship as fans were treated to a meet-and-greet with Pullman at the Hornell YMCA.

Plus, Pullman's new movie "The Ballad of Lefty Brown," premiered at the Spotlight Theater for movie enthusiasts. Following the screening, a reception was held at The Main Place in Hornell to close out the night.

Pullman spoke with 18 Sports on his love for Hornell athletics and what they have done to inspire his career. We also dive into Pullman's first big movie hit, "Spaceballs" in 1987 and how the film still resonates today.
