Horseheads Joe Gilbert Coaching Update

Colts line coach receiving strong NFL interest

ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - Horseheads native Joe Gilbert could be on the move from the Indianapolis Colts.

Gilbert, who's served as a coach on the Colts' offensive line since the 2012 season, was a crucial part of head coach Chuck Pagano's staff. Pagano was fired at the end of the season after a tough 4-12 overall record. The move puts Gilbert's future with the team in question as a new head coach will likely come in with a brand new staff.

For Gilbert, the future is bright. Already, Gilbert has had interviews with the Cincinnati Bengals, received strong interest from the Arizona Cardinals and is a top candidate for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college football.

Joe's career has spanned over 30 years in coaching. Gilbert began his career in 1987 at SUNY Albany and has since spent time all over the country with stops at nine different colleges and universities. 18 Sports will update you on Gilbert's next move when it develops.
