The Horseheads softball team saved the best for last in a STAC rival game versus visiting Elmira. 

For the second time in a week, the Blue Raiders topped Elmira only this time it was sealed in the final inning. The Blue Raiders scored three runs in the seventh, beating the Express 5-4. Alissa Rice hit a sacrifice fly to give Horseheads (3-0, 3-0 STAC) its second win over Elmira in the last three nights. Elmira’s record falls to (1-3, 1-2 STAC). 

In the bottom of the fourth, Horseheads Jenna Richmond blasted a two-run home run over the center field fence giving the Blue Raiders a then 2-1 lead. Elmira stormed back in the seventh thanks to a bases clearing shot to the gap Horseheads to take a 4-2 lead.
