Josh Palmer Tournament Enters 19th Year

Holiday classic kicks off December 27th

ELMIRA, N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - The Josh Palmer Holiday Inn Basketball Classic will bring plenty of attention to Elmira.

In its 19th year, the tournament has raised over 1.1 million dollars in the fight against cancer. This year's action starts on Wednesday, December 27th with Edison taking on Troy (Pa) at 11 am at Elmira high school. This year's field has a total of 24 teams, 32 games and one amazing cause. 

Tickets are just $5 for adults, $3 for students for each day. Full tournament passes for all four days of action are $15 for adults and $10 for students, tickets/passes available at Elmira High School on game days. 

One player to watch, is University of Florida commit, Noah Locke. An all-everything guard, Locke has received over 40 scholarship offers and has big time game takeover ability. Locke will suit up for Maryland school, McDonogh, with their first game is Thursday, December 28th at 2:30 p.m. versus Seton Catholic at Elmira high school.
