Notre Dame Softball Falls in State Quarterfinals in Ten Innings

The Notre Dame Crusaders softball team lost to Sandy Creek 6-3 in ten innings in the New York State Class C quarterfinals on Friday at Union-Endicott High School.

Izzy Milazzo hit a two-run double in the fourth inning for Notre Dame that tied the game at 2.

Ally Wichtowski singled up the middle later in the inning to put the Crusaders in front 3-2.

The Comets were down to their final out in the seventh inning when Vannah Brown hit a triple to drive in the tying run to send the game to extra innings.

Brown hit a go-ahead RBI double in the tenth inning to put Sandy Creek in front 4-3.

Notre Dame won their third straight Section IV Class C title this season and finish the season with a record of 21-1.
