Pioneers Drop Doubleheader to Jammers at Home


The Elmira Pioneers lost both games of a doubleheader against the Jamestown Jammers at Dunn Field on Friday.

Jamestown won game one 5-0.

Cory Blessing threw six scoreless innings and allowed just two hits to get the win in game one.

The Jammers won game two 12-3.

Alex O’Donnell went 2-for-4 and scored two runs and had five RBI’s for Jamestown in game two.

Marshall Gilbert went 3-for-4 and had an RBI and scored a run for the Pioneers.

The Elmira Pioneers are now 6-12 this season and have lost seven straight games.
