Pioneers Fall at Home to Jammers, 2-0

The Elmira Pioneers were defeated by the Jamestown Jammers 2-0 on Sunday at Dunn Field.

Michael Ginther threw six scoreless innings and allowed just three hits to earn the win for the Jammers.

Jamestown scored two runs in the first inning on RBI singles by Chris Estrada and Alex O’Donnell.

Houston Roth made the start for the Pioneers and allowed two runs and struck out six in five innings of work.

Game two of the scheduled doubleheader was postponed due to the weather.

The Elmira Pioneers are now 6-8 this season.
