The Elmira Pioneers defeated the Newark Pilots 10-3 on Sunday at Dunn Field in Elmira.
The Pioneers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on an RBI double by Preston Moore.
Elmira would add another run in the first inning on an error by Newark to go in front 2-0.
The Pilots would score three runs in the third inning to take a 3-2 lead.
The Pioneers would answer right back with four runs in the bottom of the third to take a 6-3 lead.
Andrew Sexton hit a two-run home run to right field in the sixth inning to put the Pioneers up 8-3.
Elmira (5-12) returns action on Tuesday on the road against Newark at 7:05 p.m.
