Tim Tebow hits first home run in Triple-A

Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow hit his first home run in Triple-A on Sunday.

Tebow blasted a home run over the right field wall in the third inning for the Syracuse Mets in an 8-2 loss at home to the Columbus Clippers.

Tebow is batting just .157 this season for Syracuse with one home run and 11 RBI’s in 108 at-bats.

Last season, Tebow batted .273 with six home runs and 36 RBI’s for Double-A Binghamton and was named an Eastern League All-Star.
