Winning Streak for Cornell Ends Against Princeton

The Tigers defeat the Big Red 14-8

PRINCETON, N.J. (18 SPORTS) - The eighth-ranked Cornell Big Red men's lacrosse team had their seven-game winning streak end on the road against Princeton 14-8 on Saturday.

Princeton led 6-4 at halftime.

The Tigers scored five straight goals to open the third quarter to take an 11-4 lead.

Michael Sowers scored two goals and had two assists for Princeton (8-5).

Jordan Dowiak had two goals and an assist for the Big Red.

Next up for Cornell (10-4) is the Ivy League Tournament next weekend in New York City where the Big Red will be the number two seed.
