SYRACUSE, N.Y. (18 SPORTS) - Earlier this week, WWE Hall of Famer Sting spoke about his legendary rivalry with Ric Flair.
Sting, who is considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all-time, was in Syracuse signing autographs and meeting fans as part of Big Time Wrestling at NBT Bank Stadium. 18 Sports asked Sting about some of his greatest moments in the industry and without question, his rivalry with 16-time world champion Ric Flair was reflected on.
Flair has been battling severe undisclosed medical issues this past week. He was put in a medically induced coma and even had surgery. Reports indicate that Flair is in critical condition and is fighting for his life. The 68-year-old Flair and Sting were perhaps one of the greatest wrestling feuds of all-time in the 1980's and 90's. Sting tells 18 Sports that without Flair, he would not have reached the heights that he has been to in his career.
On Thursday, Sting sent his positive thoughts and strength via Twitter to Flair and his health battle. Our thoughts and well wishes go out to the entire Flair family during this difficult time. Hear from Sting on their epic and memorable clash in 1988.
