Marrone Not Interested In Reveling

Whatever glow Bills fans carried Monday, Doug Marrone certainly didn’t share it.

It’s not surprising for a coach that often keeps his flat-line somewhere between glum and moody.

When asked why he was seemingly unhappy, Marrone said flatly he was “busy”. He also had no interest in discussing how big his team’s win over Green Bay was after more than a decade of December futility.

“I haven’t been here for a decade. I’m just trying to win the next game,” Marrone said. “I just try to win every game. I don’t try to put a label on each win.”

C.J. Spiller is eligible to come off injured reserve this week. Marrone said he would be added to the active roster, but wasn’t sure if Spiller would play Sunday in Oakland.

“I’d like to see his participation more before we make that decision,” Marrone said. “He’s a guy that has made plays in the past. Anytime that you can bring back someone that’s a potential playmaker helps.”

Marrone says he hasn’t looked at any of the Bills playoff situations or scenarios because, “it doesn’t matter if you don’t take care of your own business.”
