Another achievement for Penn State Wrestling.
The program captured a share of its sixth Big Ten regular season title Sunday, dominating No. 19 Illinois 39-9.
Here are the results:
125 – Devin Schnupp was pinned by No. 12 Travis Piotrowski
133 – Scott Stossel, a walk-on filling in for Roman Bravo-Young, picked up his first ever win as a Nittany Lion, beating Joshua Contreras 6-4
141 – Nick Lee won by tech fall 17-2.
149 – Brady Berge picked up a 17-4 major decision.
157 – Jason Nolf dominated for a 12-1 lead, before winning by injury-default
165 – Vincenzo Joseph posted a 15-4 major decision
174 – Mark Hall pinned his opponent at 2:20 in the first period
185 – Mason Manville moved up from 165 to 184 for No. 2 Shakur Rasheed and took on No. 7 Emery Parker for seven minutes before dropping a close 7-3 decision.
197 – Bo Nickal won by tech fall 19-3
285 – Anthony Cassar pinned his opponent at the 2:06 mark.
Penn State has one remaining regular season dual, next Sunday against Buffalo at Rec Hall at 2 pm.
