Pioneers Team with Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team to Raise Money for Veterans

The Elmira Pioneers hosted the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team at Dunn Field on Saturday to raise money for local veterans.

Proceeds from the event go to the Bath VA Medical Center and the military rehabilitation program at the Sitrin Health Care Center in the Utica area.

The Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team ( WWAST)  represents some of the nation’s bravest heroes and is a public charity.

The game ended in a 16-16 tie.
