Pro fighter “Butterbean” coming to Hornell Sports Night


A major fighting name is coming to the 2019 edition of Hornell Sports Night. 

Eric Esch, better known to the world as “Butterbean” joins the growing list of celebrities on Saturday night April 27th. Known as one of the most intimidating fighters of his time, Butterbean is best remembered as a massive striker in the Tough Man Competition and the Pride Fighting Championship. Butterbean has also appeared in several movies, television shows and, even video games. Additionally, Butterbean once appeared at WWE Wrestlemania in 1999 knocking out Bart Gunn on the card. 

In all, Esch racked up a staggering (97-24-5) record in both MMA and professional boxing. 

Last month, longtime baseball manager and former Elmira Pioneer, Lou Pinella, committed to Hornell Sports Night. More guests will be revealed in the coming weeks as well as an official announcement to purchase tickets. Stay tuned to 18 Sports for more on the 46th Annual Hornell Sports Night.
